It's a more fun, intuitive sort of product to pick up, where the PS3 is a broader entertainment solution; so you can have your fun, enjoyable gaming ... but then you have a whole suite of other applications ... such as Blu-ray media playback, the ability to access your music, access your photos and the interoperability with the PSP", he added.

And as I'm reading this, I think to myself: If I want all of the things that Sony is bragging about, then I'll just go sit down in front of my computer. And 3 out of the 4 things they said the Wii doesn't have, it really does have. Photo capability? Try using the Photo Channel. Music? Excite Truck allows you to play your own music, so would a future "Music Channel" be likely? Yes. Obviously it doesn't connect with the PSP, but it will connect with the DS soon. Blu-Ray? No thank you, sir. There will be a DVD player in the Wii later this year. Dear Sony, go away and don't come back. And while you're at it, take that overpriced piece of garbage, the PS3, with you.

Infinity On High

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vPC7U8Oc70g/RcFhAe-0AQI/AAAAAAAAAAk/OQEqWjZOVkI/s320/Picture+1.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5026405320066597122" />

In the past weeks I have been listening to tracks from Fall Out Boy's newest CD, Infinity On High, which comes out Feb 6th. Aside from the 2 tracks that have been officially released I have heard a little more than half of the CD, which for the most part is good. There are two tracks however that are so horrendously mainstream and don't sound anything like the Fall Out Boy I once knew (is it bad that one of them made me think of Hanson?) that I don't know what to think about it anymore. Basically the final four tracks that I have yet to hear will without exaggeration make or break the CD. I'm seriously worried about this one. From what I had heard before yesterday, this CD was, without a doubt, going to be in my Top 5 CDs of 2007. I hope that the remaining tracks do not let me down. Take This To Your Grave is probably the best pop-punk CD put out in the past 5 years. From Under The Cork Tree was a major disappointment. I don't want two disappointing CDs in a row from a band that is a good as they are.

My New Favorite Joke

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vPC7U8Oc70g/RhPZ4JYQDkI/AAAAAAAAABk/tDemUmKj7u8/s320/B000M7XSFU.01._SS500_SCLZZZZZZZ_V45710303_.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5049619165825994306" />
Good Charlotte may have been respectable after the release of 2002's The Young And The Hopeless. However, recently it would seem that they have attempted to re-invent themselves. Virtually abandoning their pop punk style, they seem to be experimenting with and mixing together many different genres, with varying results. While the first two tracks on Good Morning Revival, "Misery" and the first single "The River" are solid, the rest of the cd is pretty bad. Especially "Keep Your Hands Off My Girl" and "Beautiful Place". I think Alternative Press said it best in their review: "Hands up: Who liked them better when they were young and hopeless?" My hand is up. And I'm standing on my chair.

This Makes Me So Happy It's Not Even Funny

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vPC7U8Oc70g/Ri1iaZjLS3I/AAAAAAAAAB0/8dbVfYpyujc/s400/Picture+1.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5056806162281483122" />
So I was on the iTunes Store checking to see that people actually gave The Silence in Black and White by Hawthorne Heights bad reviews, but what I was reading caused me to pity fools. Both Never Take Friendship Personal and Cities are really good and well worth a listen, so if you were looking to purchase a compact disc in the near future, you may want to look into one of those two. And did I mention that (I personally think) they are one of the most consistant bands out there at the moment, because every one of their songs on all three of their cds are good. Frankly most bands out there just don't do it. Three that do: Relient K, Mae, Anberlin. All are good, so go buy all of their cds. Not a bad song on it.

After thinking about it, that one line does not do much to describe how much I like the cd, or tell anything about it at all. So here's an elaboration:

Mae's overall sound has changed a bit if you compare The Everglow and Singularity, but it's not a bad change. If you can imagine mixing their sound with hints of Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Soundgarden and Motion City Soundtrack (they sound a bit like MCS, but mostly because of the addition of a Moog Synthesizer) you get the general idea of their new sound. Overall the song writing is as good as on The Everglow, personally I think the only songs that fall at all short of greatness are Release Me and Reflections. 4/5

Favorite tracks: Brink Of Disaster, Sometimes I Can't Make It Alone, Sic Semper Tyrannis, Rocket

Give Me Chroma, or Give Me Nothing.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vPC7U8Oc70g/RtNIbx7QT9I/AAAAAAAAACo/0SeImwN3eSg/s400/Picture+1.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103502444836442066" />
Cartel + MTV Band in a Bubble = Bad Idea. Cartel’s new self-titled album is different, and not in a good way. After I heard Lose It (the new single) for the first time I was disappointed. It sounds like they’re trying too hard. And the sad part is that Lose It is one of the best songs on the disc.

Out of the 13 tracks, only 4 or 5 are any good. I Will Hide Myself Away has an annoying drum machine in the background. Wasted has trumpets and other horns, and a drum line instead of a drum set. Long story short: I was bored before I got halfway through. I hope that next time they put out a record it’s more like Chroma, because their new sound doesn’t work. 2/5

Good songs: Tonight, Lose It, This Is Who We Are, The Fortunate

Even If It Kills Me

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vPC7U8Oc70g/RvGmgzeusbI/AAAAAAAAACw/TSnt4hPZPhU/s400/61THWgIuJfL._SS500_.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5112050134547345842" />
Motion City Soundtrack
Even If It Kills Me
4.5/5
I think I'm just a sucker for Moog-infused rock. After using it for only about half an hour I am loving it. The first time I held one I thought they were crazy and that you'd be hearing about people snapping them in half left and right. But now having used my dads, and now mine, I love how small they are. The only thing I don't care for at this moment is having the headphone jack on the bottom of the unit. However, I will probably get used to this easy enough. I think the only reason I don't like it is because I'm not used to it. Otherwise I'd say the new nanos are well worth the money.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Anyone?

Anyone else reminded of this all too familiar pose that the Power Rangers used to be shown in on a regular basis? When I tried to reset it, it gave me the "sad iPod" face that indicates that something is definitely wrong with it. I figured that it was something to do with the hard drive, as when I would try to start it it would make this weird clicking sound. After talking to Apple and finding out that it would cost roughly $200 to fix, I decided that it not worth it and I would simply get a new iPod.

So last night I went to the Apple Store and bought an 8GB Black iPod nano, which at $250 was a little more than I would have liked to spend, but seeing how it is flash memory based (a lack of a hard drive would prevent the possibility of having another HD go out on me) and has a 24 hour (rated) battery, I figured it was worth it. After getting home I didn't open it, as I was thinking about getting a refurbished 30GB iPod Video (which is $70 less than the nano). And because of more distractions I neglected to open it at all.

A little while later I noticed my old iPod sitting on my dresser, I picked it up and proceeded to attempt to turn it on, no surprise I got the sad face again. Just for the heck of it I gave it a few good whacks against my hand, and started it again. It worked. I have no idea why, but it did. I still don't fully trust it, as it still has a few of the symptoms of a bad/failing HD (when I attempted to switch songs the first time it froze, but only that once), but for the time being it works. This may have been pure coincidence, like the whole blowing on a Nintendo NES cartridge will "clean out the dust and make it work" rumor (which I find ridiculous and amazing that it is so widely accepted). Either way, I'm not complaining!

Another new toy!

I have Mario Kart DS and Super Mario 64 DS, so if anyone has those also, I would like to get some friend codes to play you!

Yay!

I got my MacBook back today.
